| Calendar: Rural setting at a height of 800m at the foot of the Kitzbüheler Horn (alt. 2000m). This is a ground-floor corner flat in a small chalet complex. Each chalet has 4 apartments. You have the disposal of a sun-terrace on the southwest. Enjoy the wide rural view of the Roemerweg, a much used hiking road between St. Johann and Kitzbühel, from your reclining chair. There's no ongoing traffic. The children can play safely outside. At ca 200m lies the guest-house Hintersteinerbach, managed by the care-taker's wife. In the background you see the imposing Wilde Kaiser Massif. The house lies within easy reach. Interior: The apartment is fully furnished to accomodate 6 people (4 adults and 2 childeren) and has electric heating. The living-room (22.6 m2) has a dining recess, a settee with a double sleeping-couch, a TV and a radio-casette recorder. A door opens outward to the terrace both on the back and on the side of the house. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and wash-hand basin. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, cooker with hood and oven, microwave-oven, etc. The bedroom on the ground floor (11.7 m2) has 2 single beds. From the hall the spiral staircase takes you to the cellar room *14.5 m2) with 2 single beds and a wash-hand basin with hot and cold water. Surroundings: The chalet lies at a much used hiking route over the Römerweg. Further down at the road for through traffic stops a bus to fashionable Kitzbühel, or more intimate St. Johann, both at ca. 5 km. Oberndorf is a small Tiroler village with several good restaurants, shops, a dancing, bank, hotal, post office, gas station and a hairdresser. In the immediate vicinity you find indoor and (heated) open-air swimming pools and a leisure centre. There are extensive signposted walking areas, both flat as mountainous. Just outside St. Johann you find a double summer rodeling track. Up the mountain with the chairlift and slide down again. If you would have that urge, there is the possibility of taking lessons in hang-gliding. Kitzbühel has become the ideal resort for the golf-player with any ambition. Playing golf in the Alps is 'in' at any level. You can play from May till October within a 4 km range on 4 very beautiful grounds with a view of the most beautiful mountain in the Alps, the Kitzbüheler Horn and the Kaiser Massif.
