Chalet Eva is an old mountain house that has been totally restored (2004). It's suitable for 4 persons. It occupies the same grounds as another house of the same landlord, tucked away in a remote location in the district of Morávka. Morávka is situated in the centre of the Beskydy National Park, at an altitude of 700m above sea level. Natural rock has been employed in the modern and tasteful interior decoration. On the ground floor of the house there is a spacey living room, a large kitchen and a bathroom. The living room connects to a very large bedroom located on the first floor. This bedroom has a wooden floor and four beds. In the living room you'll find a fireplace and a heater which will also heat the upstairs. You can also use the electric radiators. Not only is there plenty of space inside the house, but outside as well. There's a fireplace surrounded by benches and a climbing tree. There is also a large parking area at the house. In short, there is no better place for those who like quiet surroundings!

When you ascend the steps made of natural stone, you come to the front terrace of the house. When you open the front door, you enter the living room which has been furnished tastefully and comfortably. Here you will find two couches and two fauteuils. On the walls are paintings and old tools. Set in the natural rock wall is a fireplace and a wood-burning heater. There's also a radio and TV. The kitchen is spacey and contains two electric heating elements, a fridge, microwave oven and kettle. There's also a table and chairs. The bathroom is equipped with a sink, shower and toilet. You access the bedroom by climbing a steep staircase like those in an old windmill. This bedroom is furnished with 4 single beds, a few bedside tables, a chair and a chest filled with blankets. You can move the beds to any position you like. The heat from the fireplace and heater will go up and heat this room as well. However, if you need additional heating, there is an electric heater here as well. Through the second door in the living room you come to the back of the chalet. Outside there's a fireplace surrounded by benches and a seat and a place to grill. In front of the house you can sit and enjoy the surroundings in good company.

Even if you are in a wonderful chalet in the middle of beautiful surroundings, you might like to see some more of the local environment and the Czech Republic. You can go for a swim in the Morávka River just 500m away or you can go cycling / hiking in the mountains and woods. You can take a trip to the nearby reservoir of Morávka or the larger reservoir of Žermanice (20 km). Frydlant nad Ostravici (15 km) has a little airfield where you can watch the planes take off and land. You can even take a sightseeing flight here. Frýdek-Místek (18 km) is well worth a visit. It's a town built on the banks of the Ostravice River. It's a nice place for some shopping or having a night out. In Kopřivnice (40 km), a modern town, there is a car museum. A bit further away there is the fortress of Štramberk whose tower you can see from a distance. It has two museums and a cave where the jawbone of a Neanderthal was found. The small but cosy square is inviting to walk around or sit and relax at one of the terraces. For a day trip, Rožnov pod Radhoštěm (44 km) is highly recommended, and you can even stop off on the way to visit Frenštát pod Radhoštěm (32 km) with it's old city centre. Rožnov is a very touristy town whose biggest attraction is its open-air museum. Three different locations provide a glimpse into how people used to live, work and spend their free time in this area. For those who would like to cross the border into Poland: Český Těšín is only 29km further away. The Polish part of this town (Polský Těšín) has a large market where you can buy [mostly] clothes and housewares (very cheap!).
