Forest Park De Schaapskooi (Sheep Fold), situated on a ridge amidst the woods and heaths of the Veluwe, in the province of Gelderland, provides an ideal environment for you to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the blissful peace and quiet of the countryside. This restful park has recently undergone a true metamorphosis. In the fully renovated main building - with an elegant restaurant, a park shop, swimming pool and small central square - you can easily imagine yourself somewhere in southern Europe. Your kids will surely have a great time in the play castle or at one of the numerous attractions in the neighborhood. New chalets have been one of the improvements in the park – they will provide you with all the comfort you deserve during your holiday at this cheerful and relaxing resort. The littlest guests of De Schaapskooi have not been forgotten either; several chalets have been specially designed for families with kids. A large play castle with all the equipment you can think of, plus various small playgrounds situated among the bungalows and chalets, will take care of your kids’ free time. In addition, there are numerous organized fun activities for children to make sure they do not get bored. Additional facilities include: a supermarket, a diner with a terrace, a bar, snack bar, indoor swimming pool with separate baby pool (free admission for guests of the park), an all-weather tennis court, sports and animation programs, bike and go-kart rental, an amusement arcade, lawn bowling, a basketball court, table tennis table and a launderette.

Attention, facilities on this park are closed in the midweeks until 8-2-2013 and from 4-11-2013 until 20-12-2013. Before and after the season we don't provide all park facilities.

This comfortable detached chalet can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. The total (living) area is app. 54 m². The layout runs as follows: a living room with an open kitchen equipped with a fridge, 4-hob cooker, a combo microwave, extraction fan and complete dinnerware for the above-mentioned number of guests. The living room also has a sitting area and a color TV with Canal+. There are three bedrooms in the chalet, two of which are furnished with two single beds each while the third has a bunk bed. Duvets and pillows are available. There is also a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. Outside on the terrace there is sufficient garden furniture at your disposal. The chalet has central heating.

Forest Park De Schaapskooi (Sheep Fold) lies amidst the hills of the Veluwe, in the province of Gelderland. It is surrounded by woods and heaths and a rural countryside containing little villages where time seems to have stood still. It will give you the feeling of being the only person in the world. Explore this magnificent area by bike or on foot. The reception desk can provide you with various hiking/cycling route information. These routes will take you past the most beautiful places of the Veluwe. De Hoge Veluwe National Park is considered, by the majority of the Dutch people, as one of the most unique parts of the Netherlands. Here you cannot only wander through endless woods, along breathtakingly beautiful sand drifts and past shallow meres, but also visit unique attractions such as the Visitor Center, St. Hubertus Hunting Lodge, Museonder (the Underground Museum) and the Landscape Garden. Another special place is Palace Het Loo in the forests around Apeldoorn. From 1686 to 1975 this palace was the favorite summer residence of the Dutch vice-regal and royal family. Since 1984 the palace has been a museum, following restoration to its 17th-century splendor. The interior of the palace reflects the 300-year old history of the Orange family, from King and Vice-regent Willem III and Queen Mary II up to and including Queen Wilhelmina. If you’d rather spend an unforgettable day out with your kids, pay a visit to the Dolphinarium in Harderwijk. Here you can admire dolphins from up close as you watch an exciting show of somersaults and stunts. You can easily spend an entire day in Europe’s largest park of marine mammals. Listen to the howl of sea lions or enjoy the amazing new show of walruses. These colossal animals are not only fond of fish but also crazy about applause. And if you dare, try petting a Thornback ray or a shark! If you like performing your own stunts, visit Six Flags. Thrill over the top and test your limits on the high and fast roller coasters in this fantastic amusement park. The living world and prehistoric times will be part of your adventure at Ecodrome Zwolle. What do you think, for instance, of carnivorous piranhas and spiders the size of your hand?! Or how would you like to conduct your own excavation for the real mammoth relics? The day program is available at the entrance. Kids follow the Dodo-route.
