Location

Are you a nature lover or just looking for a little peace and quiet? Then Waulsort is the ideal place for you. This small bungalow park is situated on the cliffs above the Meuse Valley, between Dinant and Givet, and offers guests solitude as well as a magnificent view of the valley. Just two minutes (on foot) from your house, you have a beautiful view of the Maas - an 80 meter high rock. Waulsort is an inviting place to go hiking or just to linger. Visit the little church and cozy house from the village, a village that is soon likely to include most of Wallonia. The Waulsort family park has a total of 43 comfortable bungalows. The bungalows are situated in groups of two or three and have a private terrace with furniture and a barbecue. You can park within the vicinity of each apartment and there is a laundry with a washing machine and dryer on-site. There are many cultural and sporting activities in the vicinity of Dinant. From June to August you can use the open-air pool as well as the child pool. For children there is also a playground and the opportunity to play table tennis. Maps for hiking are available from the reception desk and they can also provide you with information regarding all the possibilities offered by the surroundings. At the reception desk you can also get discount coupons to various attractions. There are some revised rental periods. Check conditions for exact periods.

Interior

This apartment is suitable for up to 6 persons. The (living) area is circa 54 m² which includes a spacious living room with a dining and sitting area (with a double bed couch and a TV) and a balcony. The open kitchen is fully equipped and contains a four-burner stove with extraction fan and a refrigerator. The bathroom has a bathtub, toilet and sink. There is one bedroom furnished with a double bed. Blankets and pillows are available. The bungalow has a big terrace with garden furniture and is electrically heated.

Surroundings

The Thiérache, the area around Waulsort, is a pure delight for anyone who loves vast forests and unspoilt nature. On longer walks and bike rides the foothills of the Ardennes offer a magnificent sight. In this region you will also find original museums and a real steam railway which runs between Treignes and Mariembourg during the entire summer season. In winter there are lots of cross-country ski trails and slopes. The town of Hastière is not far from the park. This town, located only 6 km from the French border and nearby Dinant, is a tourist highlight famous for its unique location on the Meuse River. Hastière offers some interesting attractions such as caves and a sailing club. The best known and most spectacular activity is of course the famous trip down the Lesse River in a kayak or boat. The impressive Meuse Valley is flanked by rocky lots (Freyr), palaces and magnificent slopes. Throughout the year numerous activities are held in the 'valley of living water'. Some examples: Carnival in Olloy and Vierves; flea markets in Olloy, Doissche and Petigny on Ascension Day; Soap Box Derby in Nismes at the end of June or early July; the migration of Entre-Sambre et Meuse; open houses at museums; steam train festival in Treignes in September; and the Christmas markets from the beginning of December. In addition, you will find activities just for the younger guests: Espace Arthur Masson (activities for children in a former school), steam engine which runs between Mariembourg and Treignes or the train of Nismes. But the playground and animal park with its little donkeys and goats is sure to be the highlight for the youngest children. Hide-and-seek, hiking and building - all part of the fun in the forest!

Charges for electricity will be billed on-site at a rate of 7 euro per day. Per pet, the cost is 4. - euro per day. Bed linen can be rented per set (please specify when booking) for EUR 7.
