On the ground floor there is a veranda with an area for storing shoes and jackets and a hall with a staircase which leads upstairs. The living room, dining area and kitchen are typical of this type of house. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, coffee maker and kettle. A large refrigerator with freezer is available. In the living area there is a large, comfortable couch, a big-screen TV with satellite connection, DVD player and a fireplace (firewood is included in the price). The bathroom has a separate shower, sink, toilet and heated towel rack. Through an interior door you can access the one-car garage. Upstairs there are two bedrooms furnished with three double beds, two single beds and plenty of cabinets.
Hiking and cycling trails begin in the immediate vicinity of the house and are wonderful for excursions into the surrounding environment where you will find, among other things, the waterfall of Mumlavský Harrachov and neighboring lookout towers. Another popular destination is "Špičák", the highest peak in the region. It is accessible by chairlift, which also operates during summer. The area is perfect for an active vacation: a sensational toboggan run in Janov nad Nisou; a 9-hole golf course in Harrachov; water sports and swimming at the lake in Jablonec (which is replenished continually by clear spring water); the swimming pool in Jablonec with its toboggan, and, last but not least, Babylon Aquapark in Liberec, the best known and most modern aqua park in the Czech Republic, where you can easily spend an entire day. A visit to the tourist center of Harrachov is also worthwhile, especially with its Pěnčín goat park (where wonderful goat cheese and salami are made and sold), beer brewery, glazier workshop and Glass and Jewelry Museum. A store with beautiful and unique jewelry offers wonderful gift possibilities. Not to be missed: the city of Liberec with its wonderful shopping facilities and zoo, and near the Polish border, "Ještěd" hill which has a unique tower (the symbol of Czech television) containing a restaurant. One thing is for sure: In this area you will certainly not be bored!
