This very spacious apartment is situated at an altitude of 1250 meters, on the Col du Corbier pass in the village of Drouzin le Mont in the French Alps. For hikers, climbers and sports lovers it is an Eldorado! Within 5 minutes you can begin the most beautiful mountain climbing expeditions in the area (in total about 20 routes). Another well-known hikers route very close to Les Iris is the Tour de Monzon, with views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. There are also special nature tours for children. Other sports in the area include mountain biking (for the real daredevils), hang-gliding, fishing and horseback riding. Or how about the adrenaline rush of rafting, canoeing or hydro-speed? 5 minutes away on foot there is a restaurant with a terrace plus a small shop for everyday needs, a tennis court and a glacier lake. There is a large supermarket in St. Jean d 'Alpes which is 10 minutes away by car.

This beautiful apartment for up to 11 persons occupies the entire fifth (and highest) floor of the building. You access the apartment by lift or a staircase. The apartment is especially suitable for groups and families - including families with babies and toddlers. It consists of a spacious living room with kitchen, dining and sitting area, 3 bedrooms, an additional 4th bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a large balcony. The living room is equipped with a double bed, TV and DVD player. The L-shaped living room also has floor heating and an open kitchen. The kitchen is fully-equipped including an oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and microwave. The 8-person dining area can be extended to up to 12 persons. From the living room you have access to a large balcony. The main bedroom has a separate sink and closet along with a double bed and an extra single bed. From this room you have access to a large balcony. The next bedroom with sink and cabinet also has a split double bed and two single beds. Between these two bedrooms there is the main bathroom which is equipped with bathtub and toilet. The third bedroom has a fixed double bed and a wardrobe. Apart from this room there is a second bathroom equipped with a shower and toilet. The fourth bedroom is a cozy room with a low bench and a large Velux skylight (great for teenagers, but not too small for adults). Pillows and sheets are present in the apartment. Bed, bath and kitchen linen is available for rent or you can bring it with you. You have to do the final cleaning yourself or book the cleaning for an extra charge of €50. You can park in front of the building and there is also the possibility to use a garage. There is a lockable ski box for guests.

There is plenty to do in this environment in both winter and summer. There are many walks including a nature trail for children (parents may join them of course) and 20 different rock climbing routes near the apartment, with or without guide. There is hiking for adults, such as "le tour de Monzon" with views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. Mountain biking is also an option (go up by lift, in the large resort of "Les Portes du Soleil"). Furthermore, you can enjoy rafting, canoeing and hydro-speed, horseback riding, hang gliding, paragliding and dogsled tours. There are many quiet family resorts as well as major ski resorts in the vicinity.

Conditions of the landlord:

You are not permitted to enter the apartment or the complex with your skis and ski boots. There are special ski lockers for them. The apartment is completely non-smoking.
You will find the following extra services available: linen packs can be provided. Single pack for 1 person. Containing: single sheet, single duvet cover and pillowcase, a bath towel and a hand towel for €14.00 per pack. Double pack for 2 people. Containing: double sheet, double duvet cover and two pillowcases, 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels for €28.00 per pack. Cleaning: you are responsible for cleaning the accommodation before you leave. A cleaning service is available at a charge of €50 for a full cleaning service (pre-booked only). A baby cot, 3 high chairs and play pen are available on request at no extra charge. We do not provide sheets for the baby cot.
Please inform us as soon as possible if you would like to book any of the above extra services. Cleaning and linen packs need to be reserved at least 1 week before arrival. If you have not paid for the extra services at the time of your booking, the costs need to be paid in cash to the key holder on arrival.

General Rules: 1. The property is offered for holiday to the client. 2. A security deposit for each booking is required against breakages, damage to the property and its contents. This reserved sum shall not limit the client's liability to the owner. 3. The client is recommended to arrange comprehensive travel insurance (including cancellation cover), baggage, personal belongings and public liability etc., as these things are not covered by the owner’s insurance. 4. If not agreed differently in writing with the owner, the maximum number to reside in the property should not exceed 11 people. 5. The property is self catered. Including in the rent is water, electricity, heating and taxes. Not included in the rent is final cleaning and bed linen. The client has to do the final cleaning. 6. The client agrees to be a considerate tenant, to take good care of the property and to leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period. The owner reserves the right to make retention from the security deposit to cover additional cleaning if the client leaves the property in an unacceptable condition. The client also agrees not to act in any way to cause disturbance to those resident in neighbouring properties. 7. The client shall report to the owner without delay any defects in the property or breakdown in the equipment, machinery, or appliances in the property. Arrangements for repair / replacement will be made as soon as possible. 8. The owner shall not be liable to the client for any temporary defect or stoppage of public services to the property, nor in respect of any equipment, machinery or appliances in the property. Nor for any loss, damage, or injury, which is the result of any adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or other matters beyond the control of the owner. The owner is also not liable for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered by the client if the property shall be destroyed or substantially damaged before the start of the rental period. In such an event the owner shall within seven days of notification to the client, refund to the client all sums previously paid in respect of the rental period. 9. Under no circumstances shall the owner's liability to the client exceed the amount paid to the client for the rental period.
This contract is governed by English law in every particular including formation and interpretation and shall be deemed to have been made in England. Any proceedings arising out of or in connection with this contract may be brought in any court of competent jurisdiction in England.
