Location

This cottage is part of the 19th-century country estate of Szabad Föld (The Open Field). "Klari" has its own veranda looking out onto open fields and woods. The estate has a tennis court and swimming pool as well as a swimming pond, plus possibilities for jeu-de-boules and table tennis. Szabad Föld is located in a village known for being one of the most colorful villages in Hungary. This region offers the opportunity to visit characteristic cities, explore the Puszta (steppes) or enjoy a show of horsemanship. Szabad Föld's immediate vicinity is suitable for horse riding , swimming in thermal springs, canoeing, hiking and cycling.

Interior

This cottage is fully furnished and has a completely equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a washing machine, a toilet, living and dining room and one large bedroom. The bedroom has a double and two single beds. The house is suitable for a max. of 4 persons. You have the use of your own table and chairs on your private terrace. There's a little garden at the front of the cottage. The cottage is cleaned twice a week. We will take care of your towels, kitchen towels and bed clothes. Upon arrival a welcome basket awaits you. This contains milk, bread and wine to help celebrate your arrival.

Surroundings

Thanks to the estate's central location you will find yourself a mere 68 km from Budapest, less than 20 km from Kecskemét and just 7 km from Cegléd and Nagykörös. This offers a plethora of possibilities for excursions. Explore the surroundings by carriage, visit the traditional national park of Bugac Puszta or enjoy a show of horsemanship in Lajosmizse. The museum in the fort of Eger shows how Hungarians checked the progress of the invading Turks. Visit Budapest and enjoy a medicinal bath at one of the old Turkish baths. Go on a shopping spree in Kecskemét, a town that borders the puszta. Enjoy the Hungarian cuisine, tasty and inexpensive. We hope to welcome you at Szabad Föld soon!

Conditions of the landlord:

The Dutch-Hungarian owner is present for two weeks in May and during the summer holidays. A caretaker lives permanently on the grounds. Arrival and departure are on Saturdays.
