Hambachtal holiday park is situated on a mountain slope in Oberhambach. Here, close to Hunsrück, you are in the heart of the largest contiguous forested area in Germany. This four-star resort has fantastic facilities including several restaurants, a sauna paradise, a beauty and wellness center and a subtropical swimming pool (with massage) including a 97-meter-long water slide (and for the braver ones, a wild water slide). Details: the glass pyramid roof of the subtropical swimming paradise allows the UV rays to pass through so you can sunbathe. Other park facilities: bowling alley, archery, tennis courts (indoor and outdoor), badminton, mountain bike rental, ski-, sled-, skate rental, supermarket, billiards table, kid's club, organized programs, adventure playground, bicycle rental, fishing pond and Nordic walking stick rental. In short, all the necessary ingredients for a pleasant holiday, for both young and old!

This fully-furnished 3-story bungalow is situated on a sunny southern slope and offers a magnificent view of the surrounding wooded area. The total (residential) area is approximately 87m². It is suitable for 6 adults plus one child. The bungalow has a kitchen with a cooker, fridge with freezer, microwave with oven and grill function, toaster, coffee maker, kettle and dining area (with chairs) which opens to a living room containing a fireplace, television (with cable connection) and a phone. This house has one bedroom on the ground floor which is furnished with a bunk bed and a clock radio. The second bedroom is located on the top floor and has 2 single beds (in twin arrangement). The third bedroom is furnished with a double bed and has a balcony. The bathroom on the upper floor has floor heating, a single sink and a toilet and bathtub (or shower). In addition, the bungalow has a terrace with sufficient patio furniture.

Hunsrück occupies a unique location. Surrounded by many vineyards and the river valleys of the Mosel, Nahe, Saar and Rhine, it lies in the midst of one of Germany's most attractive mountain regions. Hunsrück's pristine landscape has many wonderful features including extensive forests, rich meadows, lots of rivers and streams, lakes and characteristic rocks. Far from the industry of big cities, this environment contains culturally valuable attractions such as imposing mountain-top ruins and picturesque churches. Small historic towns like Hermeskeil, Simmern, Kirchberg and Kastellaun await your visit as do the many splendid little villages with their half-timbered houses and typical Rücker geniality. Oberhambach is situated between Trier and Idar Oberstein in the heart of the Hunsrück, not far from the highest peak in the Hunsrück, the Erbeskopf (818 meters). Here, in winter, you can enjoy skiing, cross-country skiing and tobogganing. A long time ago the legendary robber Schinderhannes was master in Hunsrück. Then Hunsrück was not a very safe place to be! Today the robbers have disappeared, so you can take beautiful cycling tours along the trail of this legendary robber. In Simmern you can visit the Hunsrück Museum and Schinderhannes Tower. Halfway to Kastellaun you can visit a castle and an old town, both certainly worthwhile.
