At the foot of the Alps (821 m), close to the southern border of Germany, lies the auto-free Lindenberg Bayern holiday park. Situated 15 km from a lake, the park offers beautiful views of the Allgäu and impressive Alpine landscape of Bregenzer. The park is surrounded by pastures and woodlands and makes an ideal base for a variety of excursions. In the park you will find a cafe-restaurant, playgrounds and a shop. In the winter you can go skiing, cross-country skiing, sledding and skating here. Just 2 km from the park you'll find an artificial ice skating rink. In the summer you can enjoy the open air "Waldsee" which is just 2 km from the park. There is always plenty to do in the park with all the different sports, recreation, craft and entertainment programs. This fully-furnished apartment, with a magnificent view of the fantastic varied Alpine landscape, has a total area of approximately 45 m² and can accommodate up to 6 adults. The apartment includes a living room complete with dining furniture, a cable television and Internet access (for a fee), and a kitchen with an electric cooker, coffee maker, oven and fridge with freezer. This four-room apartment has 1 bedroom which is furnished with a double bed and 2 bedrooms each furnished with 1 bunk bed (includes duvets and pillows). The bathroom is equipped with a single sink, a shower and toilet. In addition, the apartment has a terrace or balcony with sufficient garden furniture.

If you are into cross-country skiing and looking for a challenge, visit Hochhädrich! Another top ski resort in the area is Oberstdorf, with 120 km of pistes, 140 km of winter hiking trails, 130 lifts and 52 km of cross-country trails. For a little variety you can visit: the fairytale castle of Neuschwanstein (nominated for the "New 7 Wonders of the World"); Ravensburger Playland (45 km); the wonderful flower island of Mainau (65 km); the castle of Hohenschwangau (70 km); Legoland in Günzburg (130 km); and much more. In the pleasantvillageofLindenbergyou can do your daily shopping. Since the 16th century this village has enjoyed a tradition in hat-making. In the 19th and early 20th century Lindenberg became an important center for the hat industry. Today you can admire this tradition at the Hat Museum of Bavaria.
