Domaine de Rome Fort is 20 km from Limoges, which has about 150,000 inhabitants and is famous for its porcelain. There are several museums here as well as opportunities for entertainment both during the day and in the evening. Just 5 minutes drive away lies the medieval town of St Leonard de Noblat. Here you will find cozy pubs, good restaurants and supermarkets. It has a beautiful old town center and a famous church built in a unique architectural style. It is a popular place for visitors so not surprisingly you can find regular markets and tourist events. St. Leonard de Noblat and Domaine de Rome Fort are situated along the centuries old pilgrimage route to St Jacques de Compostela Ella (Spain) and Rome. On the east side of Fort Rome you will find the extensive area around Lac de Vassiviere. This lake is 10 square kilometers and provides the opportunity to enjoy a number of water sports. The forests in the immediate surroundings are ideal for hiking and mountain biking. On 15 minutes away (by car) there is a recreational lake which has a beach with lifeguards and space for various activities. Along the field there is the Vienne River which is suitable for canoeing. Along the river there are many watermills which are still in use. In autumn, the woods here are a mushroom paradise! Within just a few minutes walk you can find dozens of delicious edible mushrooms. The hilly area is ideal for cycling. The following activities are also possible in the vicinity (up to 30 minutes away by car): swimming, golf, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, various water sports and tennis.

You can occupy the house (on the day of arrival) between 4pm and 10 pm. On the day of departure you must check out by 10 am. If you are not able to arrive between these hours, please notify the reception desk. Final cleaning and sheets are required and are included in the price. A highchair and baby crib are available upon request. Please indicate when booking if you need them. Please bring your own linen (towels and tea towels) and bed linen for the crib. You can bring a pet after consultation. Pet are not allowed in the bedrooms. In the area of Domaine de Rome Fort pets must always be on a leash. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pet. Around the pool and the grounds around it pets are not allowed. The maximum number of persons may only be exceeded by children younger than 1 year of age. Children older than 1 year are counted as a guest (tenant).
