Location

This luxurious cottage is in Dömsöd. It is ideal for a relaxing vacation. The house is located in a small village amidst beautiful natural surroundings near the water. Both Hungarian and foreign tourists are attracted by its hospitality, real Hungarian culture, traditions, tasty foods, gypsy music and fine wines. Bird lovers can admire the black storks which fly around freely. The village is only 45 kilometers from Budapest. It is also near the Puszta where the beauty of nature and real Hungarian horses can be seen. The house is nestled on the banks of a dead arm of the Danube. It has a large garden which provides sufficient space for children to play and for adults to sunbathing or just laze in the shade of the trees. The house has a large terrace with patio furniture.

Interior

The total area of the house, including the ground floor and first floor, is 85 square meters. The large living room has a sitting area with a satellite TV, a dining area and an American-style kitchen which is fully-equipped including refrigerator, stove with 4 hobs, a microwave and a coffeemaker. In the lower bedroom you will find 2 single beds, cabinets and chairs. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. In one of the 2 bedrooms is furnished with 2 single beds, cabinets and chairs, while the other has a double bed, cabinets and chairs. On an extra mattress 1 to 2 additional persons can sleep. In the living room there is an area which can accommodate 2 persons. The house can also be rented in winter. Heating is by way of a gas oven.

Surroundings

Dömsöd is a pleasant resort with lots of friendly inhabitants. In this one-road village on the Danube, there are many holiday homes, so guests can expect to find plenty of peace and quiet. The east side of the house borders the dead arm at Dömsöd. From the west side there is a view of the Danube at Soroksár. The dead arm at Dömsöd is an unspoiled area with lots of local flora and fauna. It is worthwhile to tour the area by boat or bicycle, or even on foot. The interior of the house is fully-furnished. In the garden there are many vacant seats available. Nearby there is a marina and a fishing pier. In the vicinity of Dömsöd you will find many spas where you can relax comfortably in the therapeutic hot water. The house is situated directly on the water. A boat and canoe are available. The dead arm of the Danube is a paradise for anglers with plenty of excellent fishing spots. You can find many species of fish here: carp, wels catfish, chub, pike-perch, etc. Furthermore, Dömsöd is a center of Hungarian motor sports, where regular international competitions are held.
