This apartment is located in the historic center of the Zilverstad (“Silver City”): Kutná Hora. It lies in the immediate vicinity of some monuments which are on the World Heritage List of UNESCO. It is an excellent starting point not only for discovering Kutna Hora with its beautiful nature, but also for exploring numerous castles and mansions, and of course the capital of Prague, which is only 70 km away. This newly-furnished apartment (2004) is located on the top floor of a spacious house and is suitable for 4 adults, one child and a baby. The entire top floor is at your disposal. Cars can be parked on the road by the home.

In the living area there is an open kitchen, dining area, sofa bed (which can be converted to a bed for 1 child) and two single beds. The kitchen is simply furnished and contains a 4-burner stove with electric oven, a kettle, toaster, coffee maker and refrigerator as well as sufficient pots, pans and cutlery. The dining area has a round table with 4 chairs. A highchair is available. There is a radio with CD player and a DVD player in the apartment. The separate bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds plus the possibility to add a baby bed. The bathroom is accessible through the bedroom and is equipped with a sink, bathtub with shower, hairdryer and toilet. A baby bath is available. You can use an iron and ironing board, and (for a small fee) the washing machine. The apartment is centrally heated.

Kutná Hora owes its prosperity to its rich silver deposits. As a result of the mining of silver, the Bohemian princes were once the richest families in Europe. The silver mines were exhausted by the late sixteenth century. You can visit them in Kutna Hora. You can also visit the Silver Museum in Hradec as well as a castle dating from 1312. Other attractions include the Gothic St. Barbara's Cathedral and the road to the seventeenth-century Jesuit college adorned by statutes of saints. In Jílové u Prahy gold was once mined. These rich princes built numerous castles and mansions in the area, of which Konopiště and Český Šternberk are the best known. Utterly bizarre but definitely worth a visit is the ossuary (bone house) in the town of Sedlec. Bones and skulls of at least 40,000 people have been artistically incorporated into the interior! Also worth a visit is the open-air museum of Kouřim, complete with wooden houses. And of course a day in Prague, with all its attractions, is an absolute must! For nature lovers there is Blaník - the smallest conservation area in the Czech Republic. Also, in and around Kutna Hora there are sports facilities where you can: swim, bike, run, play tennis or volleyball and go hiking.
