Location

This accommodation is only 400 meters from the famous ski resort of Harrachov. Harrachov is a leading resort in the Giant Mountains and has many attractions and entertainment facilities. In the spring and autumn it is a great place to relax or enjoy hiking and cycling on one of the many trails. Devil's Mountain (1022 m high) is accessible year round via a 4-seat chairlift. This holiday apartment is part of two apartment buildings connected by a corridor (where ski equipment can be stored). The complex has a reception area. This apartment is on the slightly elevated ground floor and is suitable for 4 persons. It is cozy and comfortably furnished. The center of Harrachov with its shops is just 300 meters away. There is a restaurant 100 meters away which has a WiFi Internet connection. There is parking on the public road by the building, or you can reserve a place in the garage at the time of booking. In the snowy period (between approximately mid-November and late March) driving with winter tires is mandatory. In certain circumstances, you may even be required to have snow chains. Interior

The hall contains a large wardrobe, a safe and a vacuum cleaner. The living room has solid, pine furniture plus a comfortable sofa bed for two persons, two large beds, a satellite TV, DVD player and radio. There is also the possibly of adding a baby bed. The separate fully-equipped kitchen includes a toaster, electric stove with 2 hotplates, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and fridge. The bathroom has a shower, sink, hairdryer and drying rack. The whole building is centrally heated. In the corridor connecting the two buildings there is space to store bikes etc. The interior may differ from the photos.

Surroundings

The Czech ski centers, especially those in the Giant Mountains, are formidable competitors to the ski meccas of Austria, France and Italy, thanks to their low prices, shorter wait times and increasing focus on entertainment and après-ski. The area is usually covered in snow and the winters are long. There is a wide range of options: 8 runs of all difficulty levels: blue, red and black, for beginners up to experienced skiers. There are 3 chair lifts and 6 ski lifts. One of the Czech Republic’s best known ski areas and a world center for ski jumping and ski flying is Čertova hora in Harrachov. One can even try hang-gliding from the main Certova hora peak (Devil’s Mountain).There is also cozy night skiing, of course. During the high season a 5-day ski pass costs ± € 112 for adults and ± € 90 for children (2008/2009). The multi-day ski passes with the bonus of free ski evenings are good at the ski resorts in Harrachov, Rokytnice nad Jizerou, Paseky nad Jizerou and Rejdice Příchovice. Additional amenities: a snowboard park, ski schools, ski equipment rental, a restaurant and buffets. There are also about 110 km of well-maintained cross-country trails waiting for you here. And since Harrachov is famous for its World Cup ski jumping be sure to take a look at the three ramps that Harrachov has become truly world famous for. If you are looking for a change from all those winter sports, there are swimming pools, saunas, public fitness centers in hotels, and indoor tennis and squash courts in the area. After a day full of activity and fun there is nothing more enjoyable than to end the day with a good and inexpensive meal at one of the many nice restaurants in the vicinity.
