De Roggeberg holiday complex lies directly on the border of the magnificent Het Drents-Friese Wold nature reserve. Here you can go for endless walks or cycling trips through the unspoiled scenery of this wonderful landscape. Along the way you can easily meet traditional flocks of sheep that help maintain the heathland in its natural state. A special experience is a trip through the Aekinger Zand, one ofEurope’s largest drift sands. The complex itself has a water park for children up to the age of 10 (the water park is open when outside temperatures rise above 20 degrees). All guests of De Roggeberg have free access to Appelscha’s splendid outdoor pool situated next to the holiday complex. Among other things, this forest pool has a unique aquatic playground. Guests can also enjoy free access (during fixed hours) to the “de Boekhorst” indoor swimming pool in neighboring Oosterwolde. In the center of the complex you will also find facilities such as a restaurant, snack bar, supermarket and a large recreation area.

This detached bungalow can accommodate up to 8 persons. The layout of the ground floor is as follows: a hall, toilet and living room with an open kitchen which contains a fridge (with freezer compartment), 4-burner stove with fan, microwave, dishwasher and complete dinnerware for the stated number of guests. The living room has a dining table, a sitting area, color TV and central heating. This bungalow has four bedrooms (downstairs) with eight single box spring beds positioned in twin bed arrangement plus a bunk bed. Duvets (single) and pillows are available. Bed linen is included. There are two bathrooms in the bungalow each equipped with a shower or bathtub plus two toilets. In addition, there are two separate toilets. The total area of the bungalow is 110m2. The bungalow has a spacious garden and a private parking place. Outside on the terrace you'll find sufficient garden furniture at your disposal.

De Roggeberg offers recreational facilities for persons of all ages. First of all, there is a recreation team which provides fun activities on weekends from April to October and during school breaks. Of course, one can be active independently as well. There are tennis courts and table tennis tables available and there is a sports field for all kinds of sporting activities. Especially for children, there is a playground and a fossil field. Next to the complex there is an official 9-hole golf course. In cooperation with Appelscha-Outdoor, De Roggeberg has built a 15-meter-high adventure tower on the premises. See also www.klimavontuur.nl. From De Roggeberg you can also reach various interesting towns and attractions. You can visit the lake area inFrieslandas well as old Zuiderzee towns like Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum and Makkum. Don’t forget Giethoorn and the neighboring nature reserve of De Weerribben - they are also worth a visit. Het Fochteloërveen has a rare population of birds, including cranes. You can explore the old culture of Drenthe in little villages such as Orvelte, Westerbork, Diever and Dwingeloo.

Conditions of the landlord:

Groups of young persons have to pay a deposit of €100 per booking. This amount should be paid upon arrival. The owner will return this deposit if you leave the property in good condition.
Pets will be allowed solely upon prior agreement. You can bring a maximum of 1 pet, without exception. The fee for a pet is 7.50 euro per day per pet.

There is an outdoor pool located next to the park. 7 kilometers away there is an outdoor (free) pool. If you would like to use it, bring with you photographs of all family members for the swim cards. A baby bath, crib and highchair are available upon request, free of charge.
