The small detached “Fidler” holiday house is situated amidst nature and is ideal for two adults plus a small child. The house lies on the outskirts of the friendly Czech village of Žebráky, in the protected environment of “Český les” (the Bohemian Forest). This beautiful landscape was, until recently, part of the prohibited border area. The nature here is so free and undisturbed even beaver and wild boar make their home here. The large garden, patio and lawn of the home guarantee peace and privacy. Here you can enjoy the sun as well as beautiful views of the green meadows and forest from morning until early evening. The garden is a wonderful place to regain your strength. The garden has a furnished terrace with BBQ. A child under the age of 3 is FREE In spring and autumn cycling in this area is sheer joy. There is a separate, lockable storage area for your bikes or you can use the two [pretty good] bikes at the house for free. Cars can be parked within the fenced area or in the small garage.

This detached cottage has been tastefully and simply, but comfortably furnished. The high ceilings and numerous windows make the house bright and airy, while the wood-burning stove gives it a homely and intimate atmosphere. In the adjoining winter garden you can enjoy the sunset. The living room contains a solid wood dining table, fireplace, satellite TV and sofa and opens into the [open] kitchen which is equipped with a 4-burner electric stove with oven, microwave, coffeemaker and kettle. In the bedroom you will find, besides a large wardrobe, a wide double bed (of 1.60) with a goose down and a merino sheep wool blanket. Upon request a highchair and crib are available. The bathroom has a shower, washing machine, dryer and toilet. A baby bath is available upon request. This newly renovated home has a friendly and fresh atmosphere both inside and outside. It is a wonderful place for a holiday, no matter the season.

Žebráky is situated directly in the conservation area of "Cesky les” (Šumava). It is a particularly attractive area and in detailed travel guides it is often referred to as the "lungs of Europe". The 120-km-long Šumavawoud includes forests and black glacier lakes and is home to many unusual birds and animals. In Tachov (9 km) you will find an indoor pool, a bowling alley/bar and all the necessary facilities such as an ATM and shops. In the region north of Žebráky there are famous spas with their healing mineral resources. These include Vřídlo of Karlovy Vary and the Singing Fountain of Marianske Lazne. In the region east of Žebráky lies the city of Pilzen, the birthplace of golden lager. This city, with its pleasant old town, has many interesting historic as well as modern sights.

Electricity consumption under 50 kWh is not calculated. Consumption above 50 kWh costs € 0.28 / kWh and must be paid locally.

Pets as well as smoking are not allowed in the house.

A small child up to three years of age is welcome at no additional cost. A crib, highchair and baby bath are not available unless requested. Therefore, if you would like to use these items, please request them at the time of reservation (no charge).
