This detached villa with swimming pool is just 30 minutes by car from Heraklion of Crete and only a few minutes drive from the resort of Gouves and its beach. It is set in a very quiet location, with its own garden from where you have a spectacular view of the sea and surrounding olive groves and mountains. It is built on three levels, each level with own entrance. It features a private swimming pool (3.6 m x 9.10 m), a smaller children’s pool, outdoor sitting and eating areas as well as a very large living room and dining room. Outside there are stone built sitting areas, with stone-built BBQ and stone built outdoor oven. Of course there is sufficient garden furniture and two outdoor toilets. The Villa is also suitable for people who like sports activities such as ping-pong, basketball and water polo. Because of the nature around the villa, people who enjoy walking, jogging or even cycling, are sure to love it! As the villa occupies a very quiet location, the rental of a car is strongly recommended.
This house has been tastefully furnished and decorated and is not lacking in space. It features a very large living room and dining room and has a balcony with panoramic views. It is equipped with a satellite TV and DVD player, plus a selection of DVDs. Surprise: a welcome basket will be waiting for you upon arrival. - There are no less than two kitchens, both fully-equipped including a fridge/freezer, stove and electric oven. The smaller kitchen has a fireplace, the larger kitchen a dishwasher, coffeemaker, blender, microwave, washing machine and dining area. A highchair is available. - There are five bedrooms, each furnished with at least 1 double bed. The other beds are single beds. There are two en-suite bedrooms with TV, private fridge and air-conditioning. One has a bathroom with a bathtub, the other has a bathroom with a shower. One bedroom is equipped with a TV, private fridge, air-conditioning and a bathroom with shower. The two remaining bedrooms are equipped with a TV, private fridge, air-conditioning and a bathroom with shower. A crib is available. - In the utility room there is a washing machine, iron and ironing board. - The whole house has air-conditioning.
The villa is situated in a very quiet location with virtually no passing traffic, and is ideal for families with children or people who like privacy and nature. The resort of Gouves is only a few minutes away by car, and the resorts of Hersonissos and Malia are no farther than 16 km away. The resort of Elounda, from where you can visit the historic island of Spina Longa, is about 60 minutes away. - There is a golf course less than 20 minutes drive from the villa. - Crete is one of the largest islands in the Mediterranean and is home to one of the oldest civilizations on earth, the Minoan civilization. Knossos, the capital of the Minoans is 30 minutes away by car. The ancient relics from Knossos as well as other ancient sites on Crete are housed in the Heraklion Museum, which is only second to the Athens Museum in terms of importance in Greece. An absolute must! - The biggest aquarium on the Mediterranean, the Cretaquarioum, with an unbelievable variety of sea plants and fish, is only 15 minutes away by car. - The 2 biggest water parks of Crete are really close to the villa. A cool idea for those hot days of summer!

Heraklion International Airport is approximately 15 km away. The last 2 km are via dirt road. Airport transfer as well as car hire can be arranged. - All towels and bed linen are provided and changed weekly. - There are solar panels for free hot water. - As the villa is built on three levels, it is not suitable for wheelchair users. - Pets are welcome. - Internet access can be provided by prepaid internet access (upon request; see reservation form).
