The house is modern. The ground floor consists of a hall with a separate toilet and a (second) bathroom with shower. The living room has two sofas, a two and a three-seater. There are also five chairs so you can nestle around the fireplace and enjoy a crackling wood fire. The TV has a satellite dish allowing you to watch many international programs. There is a DVD player and a number of films for both adults and children. For the kids there are some craft supplies and toys. There is a dining area near the kitchen. There are 8 chairs at the oval dining table. There is room for 10 people with two extra seats that can be added. There is a highchair for the smallest! The L-shaped kitchen is fully-equipped. Upstairs the bedrooms have comfortable beds, a nightstand with alarm clock and a wardrobe. The bathroom upstairs has a double sink, toilet, bathtub and shower. The washing machine is always handy and is located in this bathroom. In the hall downstairs there is an extra toilet and an extra shower. Upstairs there are four bedrooms. There is a large room furnished with a double bed. The other three bedrooms each have two single beds (separate or pushed together). In one of those rooms there is also a bunk bed, in another room an extra crib. All in all, a lovely big house for up to 10 adults plus a small child.
In the summer there is plenty to do for both young and old. First, there is a watery recreation area just 15 minutes' walk away. Called "Dolce Vita", here you can go swimming, fishing (with a license), hiking, cycling or just sunbathe in the large sunbathing area. You can enjoy a meal or a drink as well on one of the terraces. The children can play in the playground while older children can have fun in the water with a big slide and various water attractions. Nearby there is a campsite with a mini-golf course and a tennis court. In the beautiful city of Trutnov there are a lot of small shops situated around the central square, ideal for a fun afternoon of shopping. Finished with shopping? There are plenty of terraces where you can savor a drink. You can enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area. Food and drink is still quite affordable. You can order a good meal just for € 6.00! Furthermore, you can enjoy sports here as well. There is a lovely swimming pool / aqua park with water slides, an indoor pool, an ice hockey rink and a bowling alley. There is a relax park for children in Pec pod Sněžkou; here they can bobsled, play on the slides and trampolines, and there's even a climbing paradise. You can also take a cable car up to the top of the highest mountain in the area from where you have a magnificent view of the Giant Mountains. You can enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the entire region. The routes are clearly marked. Hiking and cycling maps can be purchased at the Tourist Office in Trutnov. In the house there are two mountain bikes that you can use. There is also a bike rental service in Trutnov. In Janské Lázně there is a spa. You can also take a gondola up to the Cerna Hora. From here you can walk back or go down in an adventurous way in just one step. From this location there are also many spectacular activities. Kuks Castle is situated on the shore of the Labe (Elbe) River. It is a beautiful baroque castle dating from the 16th century with famous statues and an old pharmacy. There are guided tours in English and German on a regular basis. Adršpach is just 20 km away, and has breathtaking nature with huge limestone rock formations. These rocks are also called rock cities. These rock formations were discovered years ago as a result of a forest fire. You can walk through rocks, swamps and forests. A boat trip on a lake is also possible. In short, there is plenty to do for everyone.
