Located in a typical Mediterranean garden just a couple of kilometers from the sea, this cottage, nestled in the beautiful Sicilian countryside, is ideal for families who are looking for relaxation and plenty of green space for their children. The holiday house, located 3 km from the motorway junction in Calvaruso, a typical southern village, is ideal for a quiet holiday. It is a freestanding building, although it shares a garden with another house (same owners). Outside you have a comfortable patio, large terrace and fresh garden at your disposal - ideal for a little relaxation!
The property offers 5 / 6 bed accommodations. It contains a living-dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen with a 4-burner gas stove, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and Italian coffeemaker (moka). In addition there are some fans, a television and a radio. There are two bedrooms, both with wardrobes. One bedroom has a double bed, the other has two single beds. Furthermore, there is a baby bedroom and another single bed located in the corridor outside the rooms, for a possible fifth person. A large terrace, upstairs above the rooms, offers the opportunity to spend your time relaxing during the day and to enjoy your dinner under the stars of a Sicilian summer. The accommodation also has a wooden stove, ideal for toasting flat bread.
Strolling among the beautiful surroundings you can easily reach the Franciscan sanctuary of ECCE HOMO, a popular destination for many religious pilgrims. There are numerous beaches nearby, such as the famous mountains of sand of S. Saba. A little further, but still connected to the ME-CT motorway, you can reach Taormina, the pearl of the Ionian Sea, famous throughout the world. If you take the ME-PA motorway instead, right after the exit for Villafranca Tirrena, you will find Milazzo, the door to the Aeolian Islands. These spectacular volcanic islands are accessible by way of daily boat and hydrofoil connections. Nearby there is also a qualified riding school for lovers of horseback riding.
