In the woods near Apeldoorn lie the 121 comfortable bungalows of Holiday Park Berkenhorst. The park is situated in the middle of the Veluwe, adjacent to the Kootwijkerzand, the largest shifting sands in Western Europe. This unique natural feature comprises no less than 700 acres. A beautiful place for a walk or bike ride through the forests and along scenic moorlands. Along the way you may even have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife. Early in the morning or at the end of the day keep your eyes open for a boar or deer.

In the car-free park itself there is plenty to do. There’s an indoor swimming pool with children’s area, a tennis court, mini-golf course, family restaurant and children’s playgrounds scattered all over the park. Relaxation? There’s a sauna, Turkish bath, whirlpool and hot tub. The park also has a recreational team (in summer), a shopping service and wireless internet (for a fee). So if you like nature coupled with fun trips and activities, then the Berkenhorst Park is definitely for you!

Layout: Living room with TV and DVD player, kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Bathroom with bath or shower, sink and toilet. Two bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with bunk beds. Terrace with garden furniture.

The Berkenhorst Holiday park is a car-free park. You must park your car at the central parking. In the entire park there is wireless internet available for a fee.

Because of the park’s central location, there are many excursions possible in the nearby environment, including a visit to Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn, the world-famous Kröller-Müller Museum, Apenheul in Arnhem, the Dolphinarium in Harderwijk and much more. />

Walibi Flevoland is open from 04/06/2012 until 31/10/2012.
Queen Julia Tower is open from 30/03/2012 until 31/10/2012.
The Open Air Museum is open from 01/15/2012 until 12/02/2012.
From 01/16/2012 until 03/29/2012 the museum is only open when the park is open.

Conditions of the landlord:

Reservations for groups of young people are not accepted by the park unaccompanied by persons older than 21 years of age.

        There is an ATM present at the reception area. In addition to Dutch debit cards, foreign debit cards are also accepted. It is possible to pay by credit card.
        Notes of € 500.00 are not accepted in the park. It is possible to secure additional funding via the ATM at the front desk. It dispenses notes in the amount of € 100.00.
        You are required to rent bed linen. If you reserved a baby bed beware that linen is not available. We ask that you bring your own. Towels and tea towels can be brought from       home or you can rent them at the reception. A bath towel set includes one bath towel and one hand towel. The kitchen linen set includes a hand towel and two tea towels.
        Overnight visitors (provided that the maximum number of persons per bungalow is not exceeded) are to be mentioned at the reception desk and any park charges / bed linen charges must be paid .
        If you bring a dog (s) you are not allowed to leave it alone in the rented accommodation because of the possibility of destruction to the furniture. This is the case even if you bring a dog crate with you, because of the possibility of noise.
       We cannot assume responsibility for lost or stolen property, damage to personal property or personal injury incurred during your stay at the Berkenhorst park.
      The Park has the discretion to request an additional deposit.

The swimming pool of holiday park de Berkenhorst will be closed from 21/1 till 25/1 due to maintenance.
