The Alsace region is your holiday destination in northeastern France!
With the upper Rhine to the east and the Vosgues mountains to the west, the Alsace is the fourth-smallest of France’s 26 regions. Although geographically small, it’s 1.8 million + inhabitants make it the sixth-largest in terms of population density. It includes the departments of Haut-Rhin and Bas-Rhin. From one of our excellent holiday homes in Alsace you can enjoy a vacation of a lifetime mountain biking, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, bowling, playing golf or bird-watching. Book your holiday home now and let the fun begin!

A holiday in Alsace with an historic touch

The largest city of the Alsace region is Strasbourg, which in addition to being the capital of the region is also the official seat of the European Parliament, making the Alsace one of the most important regions within the European Union. Strasbourg provides excellent excursion possibilities as it lies within 1 hour from places like Obernai, Saales and Plaine. Its historic city center, known as „Grand Island”, is a UNESCO World Heritage site. An important center for manufacturing, Strasbourg also contains France’s largest university, the University of Strasbourg. In addition to a host of historic monuments and buildings, you will also find a vast array of museums here including Le Vaisseau („The Vessel”, a science and technology center which was designed especially for children) and Musée Pasteur (houses a collection of medical curiosities). Your stay in one of our holiday homes in Alsace will give you the opportunity to go back in time and enjoy the beauty of history!

The Great Outdoors of Alsace

For those looking for an adventurous holiday, the Vosgues mountains provide plenty of opportunity for hiking and mountain biking. Trek across the hills and through valleys, along splashing streams past picturesque villages, something the Alsace is known for. Along the way you may even encounter the ruins of a magical castle, something else the Alsace is not lacking in. Of course the witch museum in Bergheim is also magical, in its own way. Or perhaps you would prefer a bit of bird watching, easily possible from one of our holiday homes in Alsace. And after an active day outdoors there is nothing better than to unwind by the pool or with a game of tennis. Other outdoor activities possible include horseback riding, ultra-light flying, golf, paragliding, fishing, skiing and bowling.
