Holiday homes Catalonia, live culture and tradition

They say Catalonia will be one of Europe's next states...and indeed if you consider the history, the customs, the beauty of the Pyrenees in the north, the peculiar formations of Montserrat, the inactive volcanoes of Garrotxa, as well as the wide plain area in the center, it's easy to see that this is a region of wonders. Plus, if you decide upon a holiday in Catalonia you can also consider spending time at the beaches of Costa Brava, Costa del Maresme, Costa del Garraf and Costa Dorada. How great is that? Just relaxing at the beach, feeling the sea breeze in your hair, enjoying the sound of the waves and a nice cold cocktail on the sand...And this is not all. You can even "set camp" at a holiday home in Catalonia in the capital of the region, Barcelona. We need not even get started on talking about how simply astonishing this city is...they say it is the most beautiful one on the Old Continent...and it is not without reason. On the other hand, in the old fishing villages you will encounter many traditions and folklore, while many lively seaside resorts offer a lot in terms of gastronomy and entertainment.

Culture and tradition still alive in Catalonia
The first reference of Catalonia dates back to the 12th century and the area was once part of the Roman Empire. The capital of the region is Barcelona, one of the most amazing cities in Europe with the famous Sagrada Familia church designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudi. A holiday in Catalonia will have you noticing closely some of the most amazing traditions, cities, fiestas, historical monuments and cultural venues of the place. Like in Catalonia they build human towers for specific events, called Castells. They also have a traditional dance type, where people dance in circles, called Sardana. There are people who dress up as devils, called Correfoc, and dance around with fireworks in their hands, and they have the Gegants & Capgrossos, giants with papier mache heads. These are but just few of Catalonia's traditions that are seen during different fiestas. A holiday home in Catalonia will make for the perfect starting point for taking in the amazing culture of the area.
