This agriculturism (farm) is located in Serralunga di Crea in Alessandria, in the center of Monferrato. This is an area known for its rich history, its magnificent wines and special white truffles! 'La Guazzaura' lies hidden in the countryside, surrounded by fields, vineyards and woods. This large farm has been in the hands of the same family since 1836. Here an old-established Piedmont aristocratic family once lived. The owners can recount fascinating stories about interesting dukes, counts and princesses who once lived here, even as you do now. In the countryside all kinds of produce is culitivated, including grapes for the wine. Nearby (3 km) there is the beautiful, historical church of Santuario di Crea, set in a magnificent park. Within a radius of 25 km there are the cities of Asti, Casale Monferrato and Vercelli, all of which are culturally very interesting. Here you will also find wine tasting events and truffle hunts. The owners can recommend and book you at one of the best restaurants in the area where you can enjoy the special Piedmont cuisine.

The house has four studio apartments and a two-room suite. All apartments have a bathroom with shower and toilet, a small kitchen, heating and a telephone. The house has been completely renovated and lovingly furnished. The style and character of this old house has been preserved while at the same time it has been equipped with all the modern comforts and conveniences. This apartment is located on the first floor and has a balcony. Upon request, you can order the Bed & Breakfast service which will provide you with a fresh breakfast every morning.

This house makes an ideal starting point for excursions throughout the Piedmont. You can choose from among many outdoor activities such as cycling, skiing, horseback riding, mountain climbing and canoeing. There are numerous signposted trails which meander through the beautiful landscape, along mountains and beside small rivers. A day trip to the Ligurian Coast will also be memorable. Or visit the still undiscovered Aosta Valley in the vicinity. Of course, a visit to one of the many wine and cheese tasting events is a must! In both summer and winter the landscape in Piedmont is wonderfully green. Flowers and trees bloom throughout the year. The Piemonte is a culinary peak in Italy. In September the city of Bra becomes the unofficial culinary capital of the region. For an entire week the most splendid dishes are served in the squares of the town. Then there is Alba, the truffle capital of Italy, where every year (in October) the first truffle is auctioned. All kinds of festivities are organized to commemorate this special event. Distances to other major cities: Genoa 85 km, Turin 65 km, Milan 90 km, Aosta 78 km. Even the sights of the French Riviera, Monaco and Portofino are just three hours away.
