Argelès sur Mer, situated in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in the southern-most part of France, lies on the threshold of Catalonia and Spain and offers 7 km of sandy beaches and 2 km of rocky coastline. This seaside resort is a combination of sun, sea, mountains, Catalan traditions, gastronomy, viticulture and a great quality of life.
The lovely holiday residence lies at the foot of the Albères mountain range, right next to the Pyrenees, 4 km from the village of Argelès and its beaches, in the heart of a wooded park of 10 hectares. Facilities of the residence include a non-heated, outdoor swimming pool (open from April to September depending on weather conditions), mini-golf, ping pong, football pitch, sports ground, tennis courts and a playground for children.
A little (free) train runs to the centre of Argelès and the beaches from mid-April to mid-September (remember to bring a passport photo for your id card). Fee-paying activities: Internet access, restaurant and bar. For your well-being and relaxation, the site offers a «Balnéo Vital» centre of 1200 m² with: hydrotherapy pool, underwater jets, swan-neck taps, bubbling baths, water fall, fitness room, relaxation area.
This studio situated inside a semi-detached villa with air-conditioning has an area of about 20m² and is suitable for 2 persons. It includes a living room with 2 single beds; a kitchenette equipped with hot plates, refrigerator and microwave; and a shower room with toilet.
This type of accommodation also features a terrace with garden furniture. All accommodations of this type are situated on the garden level and are adjacent to one another.
Bed linen is included in the rental price.
For an additional fee you can rent a TV, bathroom set or baby set (crib, baby bath and highchair). Payment for extra services is to be made locally.
Argelès sur Mer is a resort that offers many leisure activities for both children and adults: horseback riding, hiking, cycling, boat trips, underwater diving, windsurfing, sailing, sea kayaking, fishing, bowling, adventure course, theme parks, go-karts, paintball and canyoning.
Children from 4 to 15 years of age will also enjoy the various activities of the clubs, which are available mostly during summer season (in July and August).
Surroundings the resort there are a wide range of places to visit: the harbour, La Massane, Château de Valmy, the Mas Larrieu nature reserve, Saint Côme and Saint Damien squares, Sorède with whip manufacture and railway museum and Palau-del-Vidre (glass manufacture).
