From the ground floor you first enter into a spacious hall. Then you come to a very spacious heated kitchen / living room of 25 m². Here you will find a dining table for 12 persons, a convivial Czech stove and an L-shaped kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a ceramic cooker, microwave, extraction fan, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, dishwasher and a large fridge / freezer. The large living room of 35 m² has a niche, a wood-burning stove and doors opening onto the terrace. Here you will find a triple and two-seat sofa, a wall cupboard, 4 chairs, a radio with CD player and a satellite TV which receives many foreign channels. The bedroom on the ground floor is furnished with a double bed and a large linen wardrobe. There is a bathroom with a shower and sink plus a separate toilet. There is extra floor space for storing suitcases and shoes. A large staircase and a spacious hallway lead to the first floor where the bedrooms are located. One of them is furnished with a double bed, the other with two single beds. There is one very large bedroom which has four single beds; this can also serve as a game room (table soccer). Upstairs there is also a separate toilet. The large bathroom here is equipped with a shower, bathtub and double washbasin. There is also a room with a washing machine and sink. Apart from the two wood-burning stoves (firewood is included) the apartment has several electric ovens. In the accommodation you will find instructions for all existing apparatus, an information packet regarding the various tourist attractions in the area, as well as a list with all the important phone numbers.
This house is a good choice for those who appreciate peace and quiet but also want to explore the wider environment. In the house there is a detailed tourist information packet. A small sampling of the possibilities: the Czech Republic not only has a very beautiful but also very diverse nature. There are wonderful marked hiking, cycling and mountain biking trails which total more than 1,000 km. In Spindleruv Mlyn, Janské Lazne and Pec pod Sněžkou you can take your bike by cable car to the mountain peaks. The house is located 15 km from the Giant Mountains, which has all the characteristics of a high mountain and is where the Elbe (Labe) River originates. Areas like Česky Raj (Bohemian Paradise) and Adršpašské Skály are only half an hour away. They are worth a visit for their fantastic rock formations. In Pecka (5 km) there is an outdoor playground and in Vrchlabí (14 km) there is a natural bath with a small sandy beach and water slide. Other sports possibilities: rafting, para-gliding, luge, a canoe trip, or fishing. A fishing license is available in Jičín and Vrchlabí. The zoo in Dvůr Kralove, the largest in Central Europe, is unique for its safari park. A ticket cost just 7 €. The capital of Prague is about 1 ½ hours away and is certainly worth a visit. And in the evening? Go out for dinner in Nová Paka, Vídochov or at one of the many restaurants in the local area.
