"Almberg B" apartment. The apartment has a living area of 50 m2 and is ideal for 5 persons, but with an extra bed it can accommodate a 6th person. The apartment consists of a lounge, kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The living room has a sitting area with sofa bed, color TV with satellite connection and a bar with seating that separates the kitchen from the living room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a delicious meal, including a ceramic hob, electric oven, coffeemaker, kettle, microwave, refrigerator and toaster. In the apartment there are two bedrooms. One is furnished with three single beds the other has a double bed. All bedrooms have bedside tables and a wardrobe. Guests may also make use of the fully equipped bathroom, with shower, toilet and sink. The apartment has central heating or electric radiators. The apartment complex consists of 4 apartments: 2 suitable for up to 8 persons and 2 suitable for up to 6 persons. The apartment building is located on the Almberg (1139 m) and in addition to wonderful panoramic views, makes an excellent starting point for people who would like to discover the beauty and culture of these three countries, whether on foot, by bike or car. This region is known as the "Green Roof of Europe" and is located in one of the largest and most intact forested areas in Europe. Part of the forest (the Bavarian Forest) is on the German side, the other part (the Bohemian Forest) is on the Czech side. With the Mühlviertel Kernland on the Austrian side of the border, this is a region of enchanted beauty and will amaze every lover of nature. Experience this wonderful natural area with its variety of recreational possibilities and enjoy a wide range of sports and tourism. The traditional cultural landscape, contrasting with the surroundings, makes it very beautiful! Brilliant footpaths where you can cycle are just 1 km from your holiday home and await your discovery! The idyllic hills, vast mountain forests, gentle streams, valleys and lush meadows reveal the magic of the original landscape. Near the apartment you can begin to climb the Almberg (1139 m) or try the Heidel at an altitude of 1167 meters, with its pavilions and an observation tower which is the symbol of the region. The view from the top ensures an unforgettable moment. You can also climb the Třístoličník where you can enjoy a magnificent view from the border towards the Austrian Muhlviertel Hochficht or even Plešné in the Czech Republic. For swimming you can go to the town of Mauth (8km), where you can cool off in the lake. In and near the famous Lake Lipno, 60 km away, you can enjoy a wide range of water sports as well as fishing. Tennis courts and a playground are within walking distance (300 meters) and there is a golf course in Poppenreuth (25km) and Waldkirchen (30 km). From this strategic location you can actually go in all directions! Major tourist attractions include the rainforest of Boubín (approx. 17 km); Kvilda (16 km), the source of the Vltava River (12 km); Lužná (12 km); the belvedere of Jezerni Slat’ (18 km) and Boubín (17 km); the Šumava National Park (Bohemian Forest, 19 km); Tříjezerní Slat (3 marshes, 22 km); Nova Hut (17 km); the Finsterau Museum (13 km); and a pool in Waldkirchen with warm salt water, a jacuzzi and massage (30 km).
