In the most beautiful province of the Netherlands, within the National Park of Lauwersmeer near the Wadden Sea, lies the Frisian village of Oostmahorn. Here, in a small bungalow park hidden behind an old sea wall, you will find this charming, freestanding 6-person apartment, situated among quiet natural surroundings.
In the beautiful garden of 330 m2 there are two terraces: a large one to the south and a smaller one with a small barbecue located at the back of the house. The house also has a private parking place.
The distance from the house to the Lauwersmeer beaches is approximately 500 meters. The village of Anjum is 3 km from Oostmahorn and is where you will find a butcher, baker and supermarket. Opposite the park there is "Esonstad" with its old Frisian style houses. There are also shops, a supermarket, a snack bar and restaurants.
Here you can relax among the tranquility of nature. This bungalow is perfect for a couple or family, for a weekend or a well-deserved longer holiday in North Friesland.
On the ground floor of this tastefully decorated home you will find a spacious living room with a wooden dining table with six chairs, a sofa and coffee table, a side table and a TV cabinet with color TV, DVD player, radio, etc. From here you can access the wonderful patio where, in nice weather, you can enjoy plenty of fresh air.
The simple, open (to the dining area) kitchen is fully-equipped including a microwave, oven with grill and dishwasher.
On the ground floor there is one bedroom furnished with a double bed and TV. It lies near a small bathroom with a shower and sink. This ground-floor bedroom is ideal for both young and old. There is a separate toilet here as well.
Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms, both with a sink and built-in wardrobes.
The littlest guests have also been thought of as a highchair, crib and playpen are present in the house.
All windows have outside shutters and inside blinds and / or lamellae which help keep the house insulated in both summer and winter. The house has central heating.
Alongside the bungalow lies the large scenic marina where boats, sailboards and bicycles can be rented. You can also bring your own boat to sail on the Lauwersmeer.
In the nearby Frisian village of Anjum there are several shops, restaurants, banks, supermarkets and a tourist office situated in a beautiful old windmill. From Oostmahorn you can take nice day trips. The marina includes a restaurant (overlooking the water), snack bar, shop, sailing/surfing school and a beautiful beach lawn.
Lauwersmeer The whole area is beautiful and contains numerous walking and cycling trails.
Pay a visit to the fishing town of Lauwersoog or go from this town by boat across the Wadden Sea to the island of Schiermonnikoog for a bit of seal watching. Here you will also find restaurants where you can enjoy delicious seafood. At low tide become one with the Wadden Sea as you go for a guided walk across the seabed to the neighboring islands. An experience you will never forget!
You can visit Dokkum, Pieterburen, Leeuwarden and Groningen by bike or car. In the historic Friesian fortified town of Dokkum (13 km) you can go shopping or visit the beautiful old frontages. If the weather is not so good you can swim in the indoor pool. In Veenwouden (24 km) there is a fun amusement park where the children can play for hours. The Pieterburen seal sanctuary (35 km) is also well worth a visit.
In short, a perfect location for nature / water sports enthusiasts as well as for those seeking tranquility and space.

A maximum of two dogs is allowed: one large and one small.
Dogs are to be walked outside the park. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds.
Smoking is not permitted in the house.
Firewood for the barbecue / fireplace in the garden is available from the administrator.
