In the house you will find: a spacious bedroom furnished with a double bed; a kitchen equipped with a gas stove among other things; a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet; a living room with a garden view, equipped with a sofa bed for 2 persons; and a terrace complete with table and chairs.
The house is equipped with central heating and has hot and cold running water supplied from a well located near the house. Breakfast is included in price. There is the possibility for lunch and dinner as well.
There are some things you should be aware of: toiletries as well as bath- hand- and kitchen towels are not included and must be brought from home. You should also bring clothing for warm as well as cold weather, including good shoes/boots.
The [Niraj] region surrounding Maia is a true paradise for all those who love unending woods and unspoilt nature. The foothills of the Gurghiu and Hasmas mountains provide a wonderful scenery during long walks or bicycle trips.
A network of roads facilitate easy access to the Mureş, Târnavas and Niraj recreational areas as well as to Sovata spa, the fortress of Sighişoara (“Pearl of the Tarnavas”, the place where the real Dracula, Vlad “The Impaler” was born, the only inhabited fortress in Europe, part of the UNESCO patrimony) and several agrotourism sites. Several types of tourism can be practiced here; there is a great potential for both urban and rural tourism, spa tourism, eco-tourism, adventure tourism and scientific tourism. The multitude of castles, churches and villages gives you the opportunity to witness the architectural monuments of different cultures (Romanian, Hungarian, Saxon), styles and periods. Such styles as Transylvanian Gothic, late Baroque, Neoclassical, Secessionist or mixed are all represented here. The villages here, like nowhere else in Europe, have kept their authentic character and not seldom will you spot sheep herds led by shepherds in thick traditional woolen clothes. You can even drink the clear and fresh water from the wells just like centuries ago.
This holiday house makes a good starting point for visits to Tirgu Mures, the capital city of the county; Reghin, the „town of violins”; Tarnaveni city known as „wine country”; Saschiz, with its Saxon Fortress; the famous spas of Sovata and Sangeorgiu de Mures; and Sighisoara, hometown of „Dracula”. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, an adventurous holiday, or just a little rest and relaxation, this is an ideal place any time of the year.
