Spanje is voornamelijk bekend als strand en cultuurbestemming. Jaarlijk trekken vele toeristen in de zomervakantie naar de Spaanse costas. In het laagseizoen zijn de cultuursteden de belangrijkste bestemming. In Spanje kan je genieten van vele typisch Spaanse dingen zoals; stierenvechten, flamencodans, paella, gazpacho, tapas, sangria en spaanse wijnen.De Spaanse Costas zijn zonbestemming nummer 1 in Spanje. Costa is het Spaanse woord voor kust. Je vind de costas dan ook overal waar Spanje aan zee grenst. De Spaanse kust heeft veel mooie zandstranden waar je heerlijk van de zon kunt genieten. De badplaatsen zijn levendig en bieden veel voor de toeristen. De verschillende kuststreken in Spanje trekken ook verschillende doelgroepen. De Costa Brava en Costa de Maresme zijn nog redelijk makkelijk te bereiken per auto en bus. Hier komen dan ook veel gezinnen met kinderen naar toe, maar ook veel jongeren met busreizen.
