In addition to the apartments there is a beautiful natural pool with waterfall that was created in an old settlement. Casas del Monte is situated near the Vía de la Plata (Silver Route) in Extremadura, in the province of Cáceres. The city of Plasencia is only 25 kilometers from picturesque Casas del Monte. The region is known for its excellent strawberries and cherries, but there are many other trees that you can find here. In this environment you can find plenty of activities like horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, quad riding, paintball, canoeing, climbing and abseiling. For the true nature lover, there are many birds in the area and the flora here is very unique. The apartments are beautifully situated at an altitude of approximately 750 meters so you have a wonderful view of the reservoirs of Gabriel and Galán (built during the time of Franco) from the various terraces. You can even see the Traslasierra Mountains and the high peak of "El Camocho" (1826m) from here. Furthermore, this is a great place to enjoy a beautiful sunset! Casas del Monte is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy nature. But sports and culture lovers will be attracted to this place as well.

Enjoy a heated swimming pool at only 10 minutes of our houses in the Salugral. Remember that our clients have 10% discount in the Hotel Spa Salugral and free entrance for the heated swimming pool.

The apartment has an area of 85m² and can accommodate up to six persons. The living room is nicely furnished and contains a dining and sitting area. The living room has a television and a wood-burning stove (wood included). The open kitchen is fully-equipped and offers a fridge / freezer, microwave, washing machine, electric cooker, kettle and toaster. Of course there is sufficient cutlery and crockery for six persons. On the ground floor there is a bedroom furnished with two single beds. Via a staircase with a beautiful panoramic view you reach the first floor. Here there are two bedrooms. One is furnished with a double bed while the other has two single beds. In the house you'll find two bathrooms each with either a bathtub or shower, washbasin and toilet. The house is equipped with central heating. Sheets are available. You have a private garden and terrace with outdoor furniture. Upon request it is possible to book a house whose ground floor has a bathroom suitable for the disabled.

The Extremadura is a very diverse area where there is always plenty to see and do. There are a number of hiking and cycling trails here that will carry you past the most beautiful spots and views in the area, an area that contains many forests of chestnut and oak, but also many waterfalls and moorland landscapes. The park of Monfranguë is well worth a visit. Here you will find a diverse flora and fauna which includes the black stork, vulture, king eagle, fox, badger and lynx. In the park you can also enjoy paint ball, mountain biking and a number of other adventure activities. This park is an absolute must for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts. In Hervas you can visit the motorcycle and car museum which contains many motorcycles and cars from the years 1920-1970. The museum is housed in an old settlement and is certainly worth a visit. Only 10 minutes from the apartments you will find the thermal spa of Salugral. Guests of the apartments will receive a 10% discount off the entrance fee of this spa and free use of the heated pool in the village. Only 25 kilometers from the apartment you'll find the beautiful town of Plasencia. Plasencia is a town with many historic landmarks including the monastery of Santo Domingo, a Romanesque and Gothic cathedral and several fortresses and castles. The Extremadura also offers plenty of good food. Do not forget to taste the garlic soup, goat cheese and dishes made with lamb. Wine tasting is also possible here. In this region fine wines and champagnes are made as well as acorn and cherry liqueur. You can also use a portion of the Via de la Plata where you will find a number of remains dating from Roman times and you can also enjoy lots of beautiful scenery along the way. Only 45 km from the houses there are a variety of slopes and cross-country trails to explore. In the winter this is an ideal area for winter sports. In short, the Extremadura is a beautiful and diverse area to spend a fantastic vacation!
