The house where you’ll find this wonderful apartment – in part with wooden exterior walls – was built in 2006. This beautiful home lies on the outskirts of the village of Bernartice, in a broad valley between the Giant Mountains and the Vrani Hory.
This part of the Giant Mountains is the highest part of the Czech Republic and contains impressive mountain peaks, vast forests, wonderful rock formations and steep slopes as well as valleys, picturesque plateaus, thermal springs and beautiful wetlands next to alpine meadows containing rare plants.
The biggest attraction in this area are the famous tourist towns of Janské Lázně and Žacléř along with Sněžka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic (1602 meters). The house is located on a hill above the village, just 200 meters from the local road. From here you have a spectacular panoramic view of the surroundings. The house is surrounded by a spacious garden with a furnished terrace and barbecue. In the garden there is also a children's area. In Bernartice you can do your grocery shopping. The tourist resort of Žacléř (7km) offers a wide choice of shops and restaurants. The distance to the Polish border is just 6 km. Your accommodation is the attic apartment of the house. The friendly owner lives on the ground floor but guarantees your privacy. Parking is available on-site, next to the house.
This attic apartment is part of a traditional and stylishly-built house and is accessible via a private entrance. It has an area of 70 m2 and can accommodate 7 persons. The layout of the house is as follows: a staircase, landing, dining room with kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The internal staircase leads to the landing which gives access to all rooms on this floor. On the right there is a dining room which contains a wooden bench, a table and chairs and a kitchen. The kitchen is small but efficiently equipped, including an electric stove, electric oven, kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator and plenty of utensils. Opposite the kitchen lies the first bedroom which is furnished with one double bed and one single bed. Beside this master bedroom and kitchen there are two bathrooms, each equipped with a toilet, sink and shower. The second and third bedrooms are each furnished with two twin beds. These beds are juxtaposed. In the garden you can use the barbecue, terrace and of course all the furniture. For younger guests there is a children's corner with various toys. The house is centrally heated.
This area is ideal for hiking and cycling along well-marked trails that begin near the village. You will encounter stunning views which include Sněžka, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic (1604 meters), as well as Vraní Hory. For an active holiday there is ample opportunity: swimming in the modern outdoor swimming pool in Trutnov (12 km), swimming and surfing at the lake of Bukowka in Poland (10 km), golf in Mladé Buky (17 km), the ferrous hot springs (29.6 ° C) of Janske Lázně (Johannisbad; 22 km), and horseback riding in Žacléř (9 km) or Pilnínov (20 km). Special places of interest include the lock in Vrchlabí (39 km), rock city in Adrspach (24 km), Broumov (37 km) with its beautiful cloister and country park, Kuks (34 km) with a wonderful picture gallery, and Dvur Kralove nad Labem (32 km) with the largest zoo/safari park in eastern Europe. Furthermore, in Poland you’ll find a truly unique monastery in Krzeszow (14 km) while further away, in Chelmsko, there are weavers houses known as the 12 Apostles (13 km).
The flea market of Jelenia Gora (46 km) is also worth a visit or what about the climbing area located near the city of Sokolik, consisting of a dozen small rocky areas (granite, up to 70 meters above the city excellent) atop a large hill.. Tsjehische in Trutnov (12 miles) has excellent shopping facilities, beautiful architecture and numerous souvenir shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Prague is also good to do in a day as it is only 2 hours away.
