Location

This spacious holiday home is located on a compact and cosy holiday park. The historical town centre of Franeker is only 200m away. The location is an excellent to explore the province of Friesland. The park has first class facilities which can be used free of charge: fitness with computer-controlled cardio apparatus, indoor squash and tennis courts and aerobics hall. Besides that you can also hire a bike or a canoe or rent a Bowling alley with automated scores. Next to the park guests have free entrance to an indoor swimming pool with children’s pool, slide, jet stream and bubble bath. Last but not least there are a number of outdoor facilities as well like: a volleyball, basketball and Jeu de Boules.

This semi-detached holiday home accommodates up to 6 guests and spans 70 m² across two floors, featuring a south-facing terrace. Pets are allowed, but the property is not wheelchair-friendly.

    • One with 2 box springs.
    • Another with 2 box springs and a folding bed.
    • The third with 1 box spring and a bunk bed.

The home is equipped with underfloor or central heating for added comfort.

Surroundings

This park offers excellent options for exploring the province of Friesland. Many places of interest lie nearby, like the historic city centre of Franeker. The cosy inner-city of this town, famous for being one of the eleven cities of the Elfstedentocht (a large skating event), is just a stone's throw away. If you would like to explore the area from an original point of view, you can hire a canoe at the dock of the park. For cycling lovers, there are several routes like the Elfstedenroute (Eleven Cities Route). Remarkable sites in Franeker include the town hall, built in Renaissance style in 1591; the Martini church; the old courtyards; the famous Elfstedenbruggetje (bridge) and the old weighing house on Voorstraat where the tourist information centre is located. The planetarium of Eise Eisinga is also a nice place to visit. It's the oldest continually operating planetarium in the world. If you would like to enjoy the Frisian waters, a boat tour on one of the Frisian lakes or a day trip to one of the islands like Terschelling or Vlieland will make for an unforgettable day. Sea fishing in Harlingen is also a very good option.
