Location

This holiday home occupies a splendid location, offering a panoramic view of the mountains. This 5000 m2 estate includes a beautiful orchard. Besides the fruit trees, you will find a shed, an old well and some picturesque ruins on the grounds. A lovely terrace of 40 m2, with lights and a hearth, is also at your disposal. There is an oval swimming pool of 8 x 4 m and 1.10 meters deep. You are requested to take care of the swimming pool during your stay and turn on the pump on a regular basis. The house is situated on the southeastern side of a hill and has a view of the Puy de Dôme and Les Monts Dores, among other wonderful scenery. This area is ideal for nature lovers. Here you can go hiking, cycling and angling. This holiday accommodation is also a perfect operating base for undertaking exciting day trips to, i.e., Clermont-Ferrand, Tulle, Dordogne, volcanoes, Les Monts Dores, or to Puy de Sancy (by cable car) and medieval churches. Furthermore, the location is very quiet and offers lots of privacy.

Interior

This charming holiday home is suitable for 5 persons. The dining room has a wood-burning stove and a sitting area. In the kitchen there is a 4-burner gas stove, an oven and a fridge. The bathroom is equipped with a walk-in shower, toilet and two washbasins. The sitting room has sliding French doors which lead to a second terrace. Even a washing machine and dryer are available. Furthermore, there is a mezzanine / children's play corner in the house. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor, 1 furnished with a double bed, the other with 3 single beds. Upstairs there is another small bathroom with a shower and washbasin.

Surroundings

Maison de Campagne (“Country Cottage”) is situated in a rural area with murmuring streams and breathtaking nature. You can enjoy peaceful walks here or go on exciting mountain bike trips or even spend your time angling. There are tennis facilities at a distance of 10 km. Interesting excursions are possible too, for example to old volcanic craters (you can simply walk there) or castles. There is also a cable car here, a large playground and the possibility to go canoeing in the Dordogne. At the local tourist information office you can get information on the sights and activities in the vicinity. In the house you will also find a book with all the necessary information as well as tips on what to see and do in the area. The distance by car from Utrecht is approximately 950 km.

Conditions of the landlord:


Deposit and energy costs: must be paid to the owner in advance to his bank account and NOT on the spot. Upon receipt of this deposit the owner will call you for further information and to answer any questions you might have. He will send you the route information, key procedure, instructions for the house and pool and information about the area.
Energy costs are € 37.50 per rental week (gas, water, electricity, tourist tax and pool chemicals). The deposit is 200 euro per rental period.
Arrival is from 4:00 pm and departure is before 10:00 am. Arrival and departure times may be arranged differently with the owner.
You have to bring your own bed-, bath- and kitchen linen.

Before departure, you must sweep the house clean, do all the dishes and clean the BBQ if you used it.
Upon arrival and at departure the caretaker, Ms Christine Tronche, will check the house with you. You must pay her 50 Euros for final cleaning, this includes firewood (a package) in case you’d like to heat the house. Any complaints should be directed to Christine Tronche as well.
The detailed instructions for use of the pool should be followed carefully. If you do not treat/use the pool as instructed, you may forfeit your right to refund of the deposit.
Please note that the owner does not accept youth groups.

A wifi router (Orange Airbox) is present. You will receive the access code with the house info. At Bar/Tabac you can buy data packages. 1GB is €10 and is valid 14 days, 3GB is €25 (price level 2015).
