Location

Located in North Holland where you'll find 30 km of coastline, plenty of water, dikes, polders, dunes, nature reserves, gardens and traditional villages. This cozy bungalow (built in 2009) is located in the child-friendly "De Wielen" holiday park, 5 km from the beach. The park has a large playground, various sports fields, a canteen and two outdoor pools. During the high season there is also a recreational team present which provides activities for both young and old.
This very complete and attractive bungalow offers space for 6 persons plus a baby / toddler. The modern interior is white with green accents and contains fresh new furniture, fresh bathrooms, a modern kitchen and a living room overlooking the garden.
The bungalow has a garden which will give you an instant holiday feeling. You can relax in the morning with your cup of coffee on the porch. Here you will find plenty of privacy plus opportunities to sit in the sun or shade. Barbecue, football, pool - it's all possible. There is even room enough to set up a tent. Fun for the children to play or sleep in.
As strange as it sounds, the shed is an important area. It contains a highchair, baby bath, cushions for the outdoor furniture, a drying rack, outdoor toys and lawnmower. OF course, there are also bikes at your disposal. There is still plenty of room for your own bikes or extra stuff.

Interior

The living room is a great place for a peaceful rest. You can stretch out on the couch, and for added coziness there are atmospheric lamps and some candles. Large windows make the living room sunny and bright, plus you have a wonderful view of the veranda, garden and playground from here. Gas heat means you can sit comfortably year round. With the LCD TV and DVD player you can keep up with your favorite programs while on vacation!
The modern and warmly-colored kitchen is fully-equipped including a 4-burner stove with hood, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, pans, crockery etc. This fully-equipped kitchen means you can prepare a meal as easily as at home. If you do not feel like cooking you can visit one of the many local restaurants.
The dining room is located in a central place. The table is large enough to accommodate 6 persons. For smaller children there is a highchair. Children's plates, cups and cutlery are also provided. You can play games at the table while the children make beautiful pictures or complete a nice puzzle. From the table you have a nice view of the garden.
The three bedrooms command great attention. All rooms have darkened windows that open. Mattresses, duvets and pillows are standard. Bed linen can be rented or you can bring your own. The first bedroom has a double bed (160 x 200 cm) along with plenty of cupboard space. The large closet with three upper cabinets offers plenty of space for hanging clothes. The second bedroom has a trundle bed and a crib. The bed is very comfortable and can be extended to form a double bed. Moreover, it can also be used as a couch. Under the bed there are two drawers with ample storage space. There is also a high cupboard present. The third bedroom has a bunk bed and a wardrobe. Both beds (90 x 200 cm) are by the window. Blinds ensure that the room can be darkened. Under the bed there is a box of toys at your disposal. The top bunk bed has a rail for safety.
In the bathroom there is a shower, toilet, sink with large mirror and a cabinet with first aid kit. The window and extraction fan provide fresh air. There is also a baby bath available.
Wireless Internet is no problem. Just bring your own laptop along. The cost for Internet is € 3. - per day. You can change your administration to your holiday address, make digital holiday cards or send your holiday photos directly online. You can also check the weather, plan trips in the area or get the latest news! Relax on the couch with your laptop or on nice days surf the net from the sunny garden.

Surroundings

There is so much to do in and around the holiday park. Below we have provided a limited overview of the possibilities. Inside the bungalow you’ll find additional information.
Near the bungalow there is a playground for hours of fun. From the garden you can watch the children play. There is also a football field with real goals, a basketball court, sand volleyball court and a table tennis table.
100 meters from the bungalow there are two swimming pools complete with sun beds and sitting areas. There is also a shallow pool for toddlers and preschoolers.
Cycling through the North Holland landscape or to the beach is a "must". If you bring your own bicycles, there is space in the shed to store them.
The beach of St. Maartenszee is just 5 km (bungalows 1, 2 and 3) or 8 km (bungalow 4) away. This beach was designated a "Blue Flag" beach, which stands for a very clean beach. Here you can fly kites, build sandcastles or just play in the water, or enjoy a meal at the cozy beach pavilion or watch the sun set, which is the ultimate holiday feeling.
The extensive trails through the dunes are eminently suitable for Nordic walking.
Enjoy the beautiful bulb fields, typical of the vast North Holland polder landscape where you’ll also find green meadows, farms, windmills, dikes, charming villages and small towns with plenty of cycling and walking possibilities.
Authentic villages like Valkoog and Groenveld are also worth visiting. Callantsoog is full of activities: excursions to the nature reserve of Zwanenwater, fairs, events on the beach and cozy cafes, restaurants and bars. The climbing dunes in the Schoorl Dunes Nature Reserve means guaranteed fun for everyone.
Schagen itself, in the West Frisian countryside, is a lively town with a nice center, ideal for entertainment and shopping. The large number of shops are not only highly regarded with respect to quality, but also offer plenty of variety. There is also a shopping centre with all the allure of a "shopping mall". In Schagen you can enjoy a day of shopping and then relax at a café or savor a good meal courtesy of the large number of eateries in the city. Not just in the city center but around the church and lining the streets around the downtown area there are many nice restaurants and small bars.
All year round - but especially during summer – you will find large events in Schagen. For example, in March / April there is the Paasvee Exhibition; a nine day fair in July; and Popweekend the first week of August. In early September there is a short course harness race plus Agricultural Days, while in between you’ll find various art markets. A visit to Schagen Castle, with its war museum housed in an old tower and museum of West Frisian culture is nothing to sneeze at.
In the summer Schagen is bustling with activity as the West Frisian Folklore program is underway from June 30th to September 1st. This West Frisian Market is entirely dominated by West Frisian folklore. Part of the local population can be seen adorned in traditional costume - truly a feast for the eyes!
Other cities that should not be missed include: Alkmaar, with its famous cheese market, an old steam train running between Horn and Medemblik, and the naval town of Den Helder with its National Fleet Days. A day on the island of Texel is sure to be a unique experience.
Finally, there is the best theme park in the northern part of North Holland: "The Goldfish". Here you’ll find a huge outdoor play area, 3 large covered playgrounds and a cafeteria with extensive terrace. Parents are admitted free. Every Monday (April / October) and every Sunday (November / March) there is a "flea market" where you can buy practically everything. Don’t forget to haggle!

Conditions of the landlord:


Your car can be parked next to the accomodation. Long-term rent upon request.
1. The Bungalow can be rented for no more than 5 persons and a baby. You are not allowed to rent the accomodation to others.
2. Two pets are allowed for 17.50 euro per pet per week. More pets by request only. Smoking is not permitted in the bungalow.
3. The rental price includes electricity and 1 full cylinder of gas.
4. Your stay in the bungalow is entirely at your own risk.
5. On the day of arrival guests can use the accommodation starting at 3:00 pm. On the day of departure guests must leave the accommodation by 11:00 am, unless otherwise agreed upon.
6. The guest pays (at the time of booking) a deposit of 50 €. The owner will deduct the amount that is to be paid to the owner (see Article 8). The guest agrees to the reasonable use of the bungalow and agrees to leave the bungalow in good condition, clean and tidy. If the guest leaves the bungalow uncleaned, cleaning fees will be added to the bill by the landlord.
7. The lessee is obliged to use the bungalow properly, and leave the bungalow in good condition, neat and tidy after departure.
8. The guest is liable for any damage in/to the bungalow, including damage or loss of inventory which occured during the tenancy period, unless the guest can credibly justify that the damage was not made by the family members or guests.
9.The costs of normal maintenance and repair of defects are the responsibility of the owner. In case of any defects, the guest must inform the owner directly and follow his instructions as closely as possible. Any costs made by the guest will be refunded to the guest after handing over specified invoices.
10. The access of the park facilities is established by the park management, thus making it possible that the facilities are closed in a given period.
