The Wansink holiday house is a beautiful, secluded property with lots of privacy, situated on the outskirts of the hamlet of Petrovice. Here you will find plenty of peace and quiet. Petrovice is in the area between the Giant Mountains, Eagle Mountains and Broumovske Steny. Within walking distance there are four lakes, surrounded by a forest. The house, with a small stream flowing around it, stands on a hill and is surrounded by a spacious garden with its own fireplace. Outside there are two terraces which offer plenty of sunshine. From the garden, which overflows into the wilds, you have a rare and beautiful panoramic view of the hills. A restaurant and supermarket lie just 2 km away. The house has a spacious private parking area. The house can accommodate 6 persons and makes an ideal base for lovely walks as well as numerous other activities.


The recently renovated Wansink holiday house has a total area of 100-120 m2 and consists of 2 floors. It can accommodate 6 persons. On the ground floor there is a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge (with freezer), electric stove with oven, kettle and coffee maker plus plenty of cutlery and utensils for 6 persons. There is also a round table here. The spacious living room adjoins the kitchen and has a brightly tiled floor, 2 wood-burning stoves and contains rustic furniture including a sofa, two chairs and a coffee table. There is also a satellite TV (Astra free to air) here. From the kitchen, with round table, you have a beautiful view of the surroundings. In the hall on the ground floor you have a bathroom, toilet, cellar and pantry. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub with shower and a sink. The toilet is located in a separate room. For added comfort you can use the washer and dryer in the pantry. There's also a sink with running water. In the basement - not furnished, but has a low temperature - you'll find tools for the barbecue. This space serves as a storage space. Via the internal staircase in the hall you come to the landing of the first floor, from where you have access to three bedrooms and a bathroom. All three bedrooms contain two single beds. The master bedroom also has two wardrobes. One of the smaller bedrooms has a desk and the other has a wardrobe. The hall also has a closet. The bathroom on the first floor is equipped with a shower, sink and toilet. On the furnished terrace around the house you can enjoy the sun, shade and silence. The entire complex is fenced and beautifully manicured.


In this area - between the Giant Mountains, Eagle Mountains and Steny Broumovske - the opportunities for hiking and cycling are unprecedented. Within walking distance (30 minutes on foot) there are two lakes which lie in a vast forested area. These lakes are suitable for swimming and fishing. Other healthy activities include: swimming in the modern outdoor pool in Trutnov (21 km), swimming and surfing at Rozkošmeer, golf in Mladé Buky (20 km), relaxing in the ferrous, hot springs (29.6° C) of Janské Lázně (Johannisbad; 30 km), and horseback riding in Žacléř. Tourist sites include: the castle in Vrchlabi (51 km), Rock City in Adršpach (24 km), Broumov (31 km) with its monastery and landscaped park, Kuks (30 km) with a wonderful picture gallery, Dvur Kralove nad Labem (32 km) has the largest zoo / safari park in eastern Europe, and the cable car leading to Pec pod Snezkou, the highest mountain in the Czech Republic (“Snowhead”, 1603 meters). You can shop in Trutnov (21 km), a town with beautiful architecture, souvenir shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Prague is also good to do in a day as it is only 2 hours away by car.

Only small pets are allowed, such as a small dog or a cat. We urge you to report any damage or destruction to the caretaker immediately. You're insured against it.
The home is to be left tidy. This means: all pedal bins (garbage cans) should be emptied and the garbage taken away in the containers on the opposite side of the house. The ash from the wood-burning stove must be removed and the stove cleaned. The dishwasher must be emptied and cleaned and the dishes placed in the cabinet. The refrigerator should be left clean and empty and set to the "1" position.
